History

Bangladesh Luxury Handicrafts Limited is one of the world’s most prominent manufacturers of any handmade heritage lanterns. It has the competence to manufacture any sort of lanterns from antiques to modern.

The Start

At the eve of 1965 a 10 years old boy, our founder Mr. Mohsin, first noticed brass being molded. Later then he came up with an idea of manufacturing lanterns with a vintage appearance. It was the moment when today’s “Bangladesh Luxury Handicrafts Limited” was born and started a new era handmade of the lanterns industry. It’s been 55 years Mr. Mohsin started lighting up the heritage and introducing exclusive heritage handmade lanterns, furniture & accessories to the new modern sphere.

Competence

The dream was “Bringing Heritage into Light” & Mr. Mohsin struggled a lot to study thoroughly the culture, tradition, passions & demands of the people of the 19th & 20th centuries of the US, UK, France, Australia, Canada & Germany. The first establishment was “Bangladesh Handicrafts” which latterly become the prime supplier of Charles Edwards (UK), Vaughan Designs (UK), Hector Finch Lighting (UK), Tyson Limited (UK), L Armada (France), Veranda Lighting (Singapore), Light on Landscape (Melbourne, Australia), and Magins Classical Lighting (Sydney, Australia) and so on. To meet a large number of sales requirements with signature finishing quality, in 2019, it was reintroduced as “Bangladesh Luxury Handicrafts Limited” with a capacity to reproduce any heritage lanterns, furniture & accessories of any design with handmade incredible class.

In between these last 55 years of success, BLHL magnificently met all buyer’s desires with excellence all by hand & unique custom-made designs. Slowly it’s been able to grow a collection of 500 samples obtaining one of the best handmade lantern, furniture & accessories manufacturers around the world. We specialize in rebuilding 19th and 20th century Gothic, Georgian and Victorian lanterns. The major part of the production runs on wall lanterns, hanging lanterns, ceiling lanterns, outdoor lanterns like gatepost lanterns, gardens & street lanterns, lake & pond lanterns, floor & table lamps, toilet & picture lights and many more as per customer demands. In addition, we produce canopies, chains, pendants, wall brackets to support the lanterns. We also manufacture toilet accessories such as towel racks, toilet paper holders, soap case, towel rod, etc. Alongside, there are verities of options for coat hangers, single/multi hooks, hanger rods, furniture & fixture as custom-made of 100% brass.
